Dear friends and companions of the Palace,

dear interested parties, curious people, supporters

and participants in our project,

From January 2021 to January 2024, we initiated and facilitated artistic projects and exhibitions in the Glashaus and on Worringer Platz. In collaboration with the numerous committed artists, we created a diverse programme, addressed the themes of the urban space on site and developed questions and new artistic approaches in response to the constantly advancing social changes we encountered there.

However, the worsening situation at Worringer Platz not only meant that we could no longer manage the maintenance of the Glashaus, the basis of our project, but also that city funding for our work was suspended. The City of Düsseldorf's mandate to realise artistic works on site, which was expressed above all in its willingness to provide financial support, is therefore no longer given for the time being.

In this context, we hope to be able to help develop sustainable project formats for Worringer Platz, regardless of the continued existence of the Palace. Despite all the adversities and the

complexity of the situation that has arisen,

we have grown fond of the site.

Now more than ever, we believe it is important

to take the artistic work on site seriously as part of a comprehensive debate.
